God has declared 2016 to be A Year of Discovering Your True Walk with Christ for the believers and he wants you to activate your faith and start experiencing Him in an NEW and EXCITING WAY!!! The wait is over, it’s Gods time to restore, renew and regenerate the believers of our church, community and generation. Many believers worshipping at LFCM will come into a greater knowledge and understanding of their walk with Christ. Most importantly, God wants us to become more aware of His presence in our lives. And recognize and embrace it. That’s when true change comes.
Therefore, in order to increase our faith and “Discover our True Walk in Christ” in 2016, we at LFCM will enter our annual 21-day Corporate Fast and Prayer and believe God for the “Great Change”! Get Ready, get ready get READY!!!
What are Corporate Fastings and Prayer:
Corporate Prayer and fasting is defined as a group of believers coming together in agree-ment and voluntarily going without food in order to focus on prayer and fellowship with God together. Prayer and fasting often go hand in hand, but this is not always the case.
You can pray without fasting, and fast with-out prayer. However, I believe when prayer and fasting are combined and dedicated to God’s glory that they reach their full effec-tiveness. Having a dedicated time of prayer and fasting is not a way of manipulating God into doing what you desire.
Rather, it is simply forcing yourself to focus and rely on God for the strength, provision, and wisdom you need.
Remember saints, Fasting is a form of wor-ship: “Then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and pray-ing” (Luke 2:37).
